Next, drill the latch bolt hole into the edge of the door. You should cut a perfectly round hole into the wood, then position the latch bolt into the edge of the door. Install the two mounting screws to hold it in place.
Push the remaining portion of the lock through the hole in the latch bolt and adjust, then secure the two sides of the lock together using screws. Shut the door and mark where the latch bolt touches, before drilling a hole where the latch bolt will enter. Install the strike plate using the included screws.
Close the door and test the lock, adjusting the lock until the latch bolt moves smoothly into the hole.
